InZOI has come a long way since I last wrote about it in December. This hyper-realistic life simulator is now set to release in late 2024, and you can even get a taste by downloading the character creator on Steam (playable until August 26)!

A new promotional gameplay video by IGN describes InZOI as a way to live your “dream life.” InZOIs appeal is its beautiful, realistic art style and its ultra-customizability. It uses AI to help you customize textures and patterns so the possibilities are endless!

InZOI requires you to link your Steam account with Krafton, so you’ll need to make a Krafton account. The character creator is a lot of fun! It is super customizable but I did notice some issues with the body clipping through some of the clothing items, especially with models with a heavier weight. Hopefully that will get fixed in time for the release!

You can see the model’s hips clipping through the skirt here.

I had a lot of fun customizing my character, called a “Zoi,” although I didn’t stray too far away from the default character. I loved that I could customize the skin tone — something I miss a lot in The Sims is the ability to color pick skin tone! With InZOI it seems like there will be endless options for skin tone options.

There are plenty of default skin tones and the option to color pick!

The final version of InZOI will include character personalities, and you can choose from a variety of personalities when designing your Zoi. While they seem a bit limited compared to choosing individual traits, the description for each trait is surprisingly in-depth. I’m excited to see the interactions these AI-driven Zois will have with each other and with their world. InZOI is perfectly poised to upset the status quo that The Sims has set for life simulation games!

Although there’s no specific release date yet, InZOI is set to release in “late 2024,” so don’t forget to Wishlist it on Steam and keep an eye out. Are you looking forward to InZOI? Let me know in the comments!
